SUN GLASS HISTORY

Our Story

Learning about a company is important, because good history shows consistency to a local community such as ours here in Montrose, CO.

Sun Glass was founded in Farmington, NM by N.L. Garrett Sr. in 1952. The business was then purchased by Cliff Freeman and James Newlun in 1999. Then in the fall of 2008 Cliff Freeman (father) and Clint Freeman (son) purchased James Newlun’s shares of the business making it a true family owned and operated business.

The business has enjoyed a great, long-term relationship with Montrose and the surrounding area. As the community has grown, Sun Glass has also grown to be the largest glass shop in the Four Corners Region.
